Australia’s increase in Medicare claims

Minister for Health, Sussan Ley, has recently announced statistics highlighting the growing number of Australians claiming Medicare services across Australia.

Minister Ley said the medical services¬†“cupboard needed a deep clean” but the President of Australia’s Medical Association, Professor Brian Owler, believes these statistics might be used by the government to influence the Medicare Benefits Scheme.
