cafes to tackle youth homelessness: Bec Scott, co-founder of STREAT

Have you ever counted how many meals you are going to have throughout your life?

85 thousand – that’s actually a lot.

So every small choices you make, like what you are having for lunch or where you get that cup of coffee, means a lot when it’s repeated again and again

that’s the philosophy of Bec Scott, the co-founder of a social enterprise STREAT.

They run cafe businesses around Melbourne to help young people get a job, especially those who are suffering from homelessness and other issues, such as drug and alcohol use or mental health problems.
