The message from advocates of safe-injecting facilities is simple - get drugs off the streets.

Are safe injecting rooms a pragmatic response to reduce needle sharing, save lives and improve users' chances of getting treatment? The issue is challenging politically, but experts have renewed their push for supervised injecting facilities.
