Day 2 with Hayet Saleh

Day Number 2 came along, which was a shocking morning as I walked through the doors, my lovely supervisor Kristina notified me that one of the schools could not attend their show “Schools on Air” and so Lochlan and I had a chance to fill in and have our own on air radio show! I was excited and anxious as I was unprepared although I had a few ideas in mind for Fridays show so I just used it for that time and elaborated on them.   So one of the crew helped us prepare for our show and Travis helped us with the paneling that controls the mics and the volume. He also helped us with our nerves and panicking, well my panicking actually and said “ It’s okay that’s what SYN is for, to make mistakes and just learn”. As I could feel the chills on my skin, the mics were on and we did it and it wasn’t so bad at all it was just all fun! You pick your own songs that get to be played on air, which was cool and overall I enjoyed it and made the most of the experience and opportunity given. Thanks to those kids who didn’t show up (no offence).
