Debate on Marriage Equality

Supreme Court of the United States ends marriage discrimination - Obergefell vs Hodges

Two separate bills calling for a parliamentary vote on same-sex marriage were tabled in Parliament yesterday.

This coincides with the raging political and public discussion around a proposed marriage equality plebiscite.

So should Australia have a public or parliamentary vote on the issue?
