December 6th

Had a jammed packed show this week! Had a chat with Alex and Alfredo from Acequia who spoke about their beautiful Bolivian folkloric music and its ancient origins. They also did a live in-studio performance showcasing the sounds of the traditional Charango and Zampoña. For more info on Acequia and to hear a selection of the tracks off their newly recorded album, Wandering Troubadour, visit, for a copy of the album email [email protected]
Also had a chat with the very beautiful Penne Thornton who has organised Righteous: Rights at the Round Table, a two day event happening this weekend at Signal Youth Space. Friday will be your chance to get a long to the forum with some pretty profound speakers and have your say on human rights for First Australians, Newly Arrived Refugees and Women. Saturday will be your chance to rip up the dance floor at the Multicultural Music Festival, also help at Signal.
The forum on Friday runs from 1pm-4pm and the Multicultural Music Festival on Saturday runs from 5pm-9pm. For more info visit
