Episode 1: Comic Book Adaptations (Superheroes) – 27/04/2014 – The Good, the Bad, and the Box Office

In this, the first episode of The Good, the Bad, and the Box Office, Scott and Til talk superhero comic book adaptations. Our good film, somewhat controversally, is Sam Reimi’s 2002 puberty allegory Spider-Man and our bad example is the universally disliked 2011 CGI clustermuck the Green Lantern. We also discuss how Captain America: The Winter Soldier saluts the superhero movie while subverting most of its tropes. Originally broadcast on SYN 90.7 on Sunday the 27th of March, 2014.
