Freezing time
Surgery has just had a breakthrough, with American hospitals trialling cryonics on patients with life-threatening conditions.
The patient is lowered down to freezing temperatures, and is technically dead for hours, while surgeons perform difficult procedures on them.
When the surgery is finished, the patient is warmed up and effectively brought back to life.
