Episode 5: Women in Music

A series of album covers, arranged in a 3x4 grid formation, corresponding with the playlist of this episode

In recognition of International Women’s Day, this week’s playlist features music exclusively from female and non-binary artists.

Each of the tracks in this week’s edition of Friday Night Fidelity tell the stories of women, all of whom have had to fight for the recognition they deserve within the music industry – both in Australia and overseas.

You’ll hear songs from Miss Blanks, who took a public stand against Laneway Festival’s inclusion of a male artist who indecently exposed himself at last year’s ARIA Awards; and Camp Cope, who used their set at Falls back in January to call on organisers to better support non-male artists.
