Getting access to!

OK, we get it, the old site was – uhh, well. Let’s just say that it’s in the past now, and we have a glorious new site to produce content for!

There are a few things you’ll need to do before you can upload content, but we’ve put this guide together to help you through it. And hey, if you ever get stuck you can contact Michael at [email protected] and Emily at [email protected]!


Getting access to the site

Unless you’re some hacking god, you’ll need a username and password to get access to the SYN website (please don’t try and hack the site – pretty please?). Getting your account is pretty easy – just follow these steps:


1. Register for an account!

If you don’t already have an account which was migrated from the old website then head on over to, click on the user icon on the top-right of the page, and click ‘Register’. Or, just head directly to

If you’ve already got an account, skip to step 2!


2. Ask the Online team for access

You’ll likely receive a message telling you that your account is ‘blocked’ – this is just our way of making sure the only people allowed to produce content for the SYN website are awesome SYNners, not random strangers.

You’ll need to email the Online team and ask them for access. Shoot [email protected] an email giving them:

  • Your name
  • Your membership number (if you remember it)
  • The show you’re a part of
  • What your role is (producer, host, etc)


3. Log back in and start uploading content!!

Once you’ve heard back from the online team, you’re good to go! They should have also given you some instructions on uploading content.


Uploading shows, podcasts, playlists and more!

After you’ve been granted access to the site using the steps above, you can follow the below instructions to start contributing content to the site!

1. Creating a show

If you’ve got a new show to add to the site, simply head to to create your own show page!

Most of the details are fairly straight forward, but make sure you select the correct Channel Type (90.7, Nation or TV) as well as uploading a logo. It’s also important that you enter the correct information in the ‘On Air Schedule’ section so that it shows your show correctly on the site.

2. Uploading content

Assuming you have a show page, you can contribute various types of content including Audio, Video and Features! To create any of this content simply head to and select the relevant option.

As previously, most of the options are easy to understand but make sure you list your show in ‘Show reference’ to ensure the link is made to your show 🙂
