Greens win Northcote by-election

The Greens have taken the state seat of Northcote in a recent by-election, beating the Labor party in an electorate they’ve held for 90 years. The result will also see newly minted Greens M.P Lidia Thorpe as the first ever Aboriginal woman elected to Victorian Parliament.
