Hello February!

Sigh No More – Mumford & Sons
My Heart Rate Rapid – Metronomy
Infinity – XX
One Step Beyond – Madness
Knights of Cydonia – Muse (Scene & Heard)
Television – Bertie Blackman (Old vs. New)
Curtain Smile – Mum Smokes
The Funeral – Band of Horses
Dance Dance – Lykke Li
Monday’s show brought you a rather festival-weathered Yaz and her she-man voice, but nonetheless the fringed duo had some important stuff to discuss:
What’s better? Gigs or festivals? Sure, festivals might give you more bang for your buck, but there’s certainly something special about a whole gig devoted to your favourite band. Atmosphere? Intimacy? It’s really up to you guys, but we think gigs came out on top.
For Old vs. New, Chasemin (that’s their hybrid name, folks), discussed indie-electro artist Bertie Blackman who started out as more of a rock chick but has moved more into a synthy style. It all really depends on what floats your boat, but whatever your thoughts, her career has skyrocketed since the transition.

Video on the Radio brought you Muse’s epic six-minute clip, ‘Knights of Cydonia.’ Check it out here:
