Hip Hop’s Finest – SYN’s Genre Night Gigs
In an exciting new partnership SYN and Revolver Upstairs will present a quarterly gig showcasing local acts from one of SYN’s genre nights. Incorporating the genres of Asian Pop, Hip Hop, Punk and Metal, and Dance, SYN’s genre nights air each weeknight from 8pm, giving young people access to enjoy the respective musical styles.
Taking on Hip Hop, the inaugural event Hip Hop’s Finest will kick off with a bang on Friday the 9th of December with headliner Dylan Joel. Stringing his rhymes across strong catchy choruses, Dylan is a fresh voice doing his thing in the world of Australian hip hop.
The gig is rounded out in fine style with support from fellow hip hoppers Mosé and DJs Br00klyn Queenz.

What are genre night gigs?
Each weeknight from 8pm SYN has dedicated programming to celebrate the genres of Indie/Electro, Asian Pop, Hip Hop, Punk and Metal, and Dance. SYN in conjunction with Revolver Upstairs presents Genre Night gigs; a platform for young people to access and enjoy the various musical styles of local emerging artists in a live setting.
Genre Night Gigs provide local talent with exposure to a wide audience; in addition to playing a the gig, the artist is interviewed on SYN radio programs, and SYN TV’s Channel 31 program 1700, as well as being promoted through social media.
