Individuals: The Awkward Stage
The Awkward Stage is SYN’s dedicated Under 18 radio training course.You can learn LIVE on air with the ultimate radio taste tester.
That’s right – you and your group can have your own LIVE radio show broadcast across Melbourne each Saturday on SYN 90.7
The Awkward Stage runs every Saturday afternoon LIVE on SYN Radio for 10 weeks. Over the course of the 10 weeks you will try a different style of radio each week with the support of one of SYN’s trainers.
SYN is a safe, supportive and encouraging environment. We want any young person aged 12-17 to feel comfortable joining our community and making radio with SYN. There is no prior experience necessary – you’ve just got to be willing to give it a try.
Our offices (16 Cardigan Street, Carlton) and studios (Inside the RMIT city campus) are easy to access and only a short walk from Melbourne Central.
Course cost: $95 (SYN membership included)
Once you complete The Awkward Stage you will be a fully trained SYN member and able to:
– Apply to have your own radio show on SYN (Any topic or interest of your choice).
– Join one of SYN’s flagship programs (Such as Amplify – our under 18 drive program) or departments.
– Volunteer across the SYN Community.
