JOIN THE GET CEREAL TV CREW
Exciting new opportunities exist for television hosts, segment contributors, content producers and crew to kick off a brand new SYN/C31 production: Get Cereal TV!
The Student Youth Network (SYN) is excited to be building on the established Get Cereal brand by giving young people an alternative in the mornings: something to watch! Get Cereal TV will have different hosts and content and be broadcast LIVE on Channel 31, weekdays 7.30-8.30am. Broadcast will begin in September.
To kick off the show, SYN is looking for people under the age of 25 to fill the following volunteer roles - hosts, segment contributors, content producers and tech/crew.

SYN SEEKS ARTS/CULTURE AFICIONADO
The Student Youth Network needs a young and enthusiastic person to be the volunteer Executive Producer of its flagship Arts and Culture program 'The Mess Room'. This program airs on SYN radio, 90.7 FM, and very soon will have a web presence with a blog and media at www.syn.org.au.
Essential skills and attributes you'd have:
You're aged 12-25
You have an active knowledge of local arts events, artists and scenes, both mainstream and underground
You have a passion for and curiosity about a variety of disciplines within the 'arts & culture' realm
A willingness to use a stack of free tickets and passes to attend and review events
You have excellent verbal communication
Ideal skills and attributes you'd also have:
You have some radio experience and understanding of community media
You have some web creation/editing experience
You have wide networks of people to draw on within the local arts scene/s
If you are new to SYN, you should be prepared to do SYN radio training and sign up as a SYN member.
The role would require you to be involved in all aspects of the program's production such as organising interviews, hosts, giveaways, media passes, editing packages, and taking care of the program's webpage.

As a guide, this volunteer role will require approximately 4-10 hours a week.
