KINS announced as June SYN Approved artist

Atmospheric-pop outfit KINS will be June’s SYN Approved artist. The band’s SYN Approved Gig will double-up as their debut mini-LP launch at The Worker’s Club on Friday, June 24th. Howl At The Moon and The Townhouses will be supporting.
The band’s ambient-pop prowess simultaneously injects the carefree mindset of a golden afternoon, and the inside-comfort of a wet-weather day – a craft cultivated by front-man Thom Savage (formerly Oh Mercy), who spent many man-hours writing and recording at his home studio in 2010.
This year KINS have performed their experimental pop melodies as a support act to ‘Parades’ and ‘Little Scout’ in April, as well as during their March residency at The Builder’s Arms.  Their atmospheric-pop qualities have seen them likened to ‘Blonde Redhead’ and ‘Seagull’.
The band released their first single ‘Fade bird, fade’ in November 2010. And 2011 has already seen the release of two more singles, the most recent being ‘Mockasin’s’ on April 29th. Their mini-LP Dancing Back and Forth, Covered In Whipped Cream was released independently on May 20th. KINS will be leaving to play some UK shows in August.
