Labs Online – Interviewing

LabsOnlineThumbnail_1-8.png

In November, an interviewing Mega Lab was held, where we looked at interviewing as a broad concept and then narrowed down on how to interview for radio documentary programs.
We looked at why shows interview, what elements exist in crafting a good interview and the difference between interviewing a person and interviewing a person’s ideas.

There are some conflicting guides for both broad interviews and for radio documentary interviews and this comes down to what the aim of these interviews are and the differing audiences and listening contexts both broad and radio documentary interviews experience.

Below is a video from the first session in the Mega Lab, broad interviews.

At the bottom of the page you’ll find a guide to making radio documentaries, specifically a guide to making content for All The Best.

If you have any questions about interviewing please feel free to email Blakey at [email protected]
