SYN offers short 90 minute radio basics workshops, whole day live radio workshops and training programs to schools and community groups. We can also tailor a session to your needs.
About SYN
SYN Media is a youth media organisation based in Melbourne. We work all around Australia with passionate young people. SYN is a not-for-profit community media organisation set up to empower young people and give them skills to become media makers. We broadcast on SYN 90.7 in Melbourne and we have a digital station called SYN Nation. SYN also presents live television in partnership with C31, creates and hosts podcasts and online video. If young people have an idea for a media production, we’ll support them!
Radio Basics Workshops and Live Radio Training
Our training workshops are all run by young people who have live radio production experience, for other young people. Every workshop we offer includes hands on learning experiences. Students will create radio programs and develop their own ideas into discussion topics and radio segments. Students and teachers receive a copy of all the audio that’s produced and some of our training programs also include a live broadcast on SYN 90.7FM in Melbourne.
