Manthropology E4 – Ehon Chan – 6th March 2012

Listen here.
Ehon Chan is a social entrepreneur and innovator . The Age’s cites him as one of the “Top 100 Most Influential People in Melbourne”. He is the brain behind popular social campaign “Soften the Fck Up”: a project that raises awareness of male suicide rates and challenges the stereotype of a “real man” in terms of dealing with depression.

Ehon tells Simon about how he dealt with his best friend dying when he was sixteen-years-old. His backstory of growing up in Malaysia, village community and dealing with loss are described to be what shaped his social activism today.
