Max Crumbs: May SYN Approved Artist

Fresh off the release of his debut LP Maidenhair, SYN is in a flurry of excitement to announce Max Crumbs as the SYN Approved artist for May.
Having worked among various musical projects (Brain Children, Agents of Abhorrence, Internal Rot, Pivixki, and member of the This Thing collective), Max Crumbs (the nom de guerre of Melbourne producer Max Kohane) is a solo venture into beat-based work.
With two online EPs under his belt, Max Crumbs found inspiration for his first full length release living in the Kohane family home in the inner sanctum of Melbourne.  With tracks like ‘Booger Dam’, ‘Pants Dance’ and ‘Yucky Oven’ you could easily think thatMaidenhair was a non-too serious project – but do not be deceived – the nod to the comic belies the beauty and complexity of the work across the album.
Maidenhair is a flurry of beats, plethora of vinyl-derived samples, and even the odd bit of percussion. It’s downbeat and smooth, it’s also boldly arranged and deeply layered.
Join SYN at the Workers on Thursday May 17th to spoil your ears and your senses as we take a journey into the world of Max Crumbs.
