MDG Innovation Forum


The goal of the MDG Advocate-led Innovation Forum on 24 September 2013 was to gather leaders from the private and public sectors, demonstrating ways to accelerate progress on the MDGs.

The  Forum  showcased four high-impact  projects to help advance traditional  philanthropy in  the  direction  of smart,  targeted  investments  and  creative partnerships,  with  a  specific  goal  of  garnering  new  commitments  to  aid  in  their implementation.

Reporting from the General Assembly at UN HQ in New York, Dominic and the team review the event, reflecting on the content of the pioneering acheivments and commitments emanating from the Forum.

Participants of the Forum included MDG Special Adviser to the Secretary General Jeffrey Sachs, Grammeen Bank founder and Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus and Rwandan President Paul Kagame.
