Melbourne Web Fest 2014 Audio Documentary

MWF-logo-600x300.jpg

Melbourne WebFest works to honour innovative creators that are transforming the world of entertainment. It is the first and only festival dedicated exclusively to web series in Australia — and the southern hemisphere.

Web-based series entertainment is growing rapidly and is fast rising to challenge traditional modes of creating and engaging with content. Innovative web series creators are a driving force in the storytelling evolution on digital platforms, and are giving viewers the control over what and how they watch content.

Web series is a global movement and we are currently seeing an emerging digital industry, built from the ground up, by creators who are increasingly in control of their own content.

Melbourne WebFest is the hub for web-based content creators to come together to share their experience, network, be acknowledged, and learn about the emerging trends in digital entertainment and the emerging web series industry.

Alice from Art Smitten went along to the opening night gala to explore what the Melb Web Fest is all about.
