The 2010 SYN Awards Night were held on Wed 10th March at Storey Hall here in Melbourne town.
It was a fantastic evening where we celebrated the past twelve months of amazingness at SYN. Our theme this year was "SYN is the Future" and the costumes were incredible. Photos to come!

"Back From The Dead" is a new offering from Last Dinosaurs, featuring the singles "As Far As You're Concerned" and "Honolulu". The band signed to Dew Process in late 2009 after a big year of goal-kicking.
They're coming down from Brisbane for the Sounds Loud festival on April 11 - get a preview via The Hoist all this week on SYN radio, 7pm weeknights.

Ta-Ku is a Perth-based producer who's put together this album by collaborating and sharing beats over the intertubes. Over a year and a half, Ta-Ku layered beats and vocals from different artists he'd shared zip files with, often using MySpace to connect across the globe.

Our favourite Australian release this week is from Brisbane's Mapletons, a four-piece that offers "technicolour folk pop" on their newly released EP "Origami Army".
