'Lands' - TTT (formerly Tic Toc Tokyo)

One of Melbourne’s most exciting and forward thinking bands, TTT will release its debut album, Lands, on 9 April via MGM. To coincide with its release, TTT will hit major cities around Australia for album launches throughout May.  Catch TTT on Saturday 1 May at Northcote Social Club.
 
Using  a  range  of  new  instrumentation  (drum  machine,  trumpet,  clarinet  & multiple percussion),  the album skilfully  retains  the band’s strong sense of energy, melody and dynamics.  Moving  from  groove-driven  jams  to  heavy abrasion, deconstructive pop, percussive breakdowns, and dark atmospherics, Lands is a  thrilling  listen from start to finish. 
 
 
Formed in 2005, TTT is Simon Gibbs, Nicolaas Ooogjes, Marty Umanski, and Adrian Vecino. Following the 2009 release of their debut EP, Artefacts, and the stand alone single, ‘Ritual’, TTT was awarded a Victoria Rocks grant to assist with promotion of its debut album. All the while, the band has been honing its live performance technique sharing stages with acts  including Snowman, Vampillia (Japan) and Spiral Stairs (Pavement).  The  result is a band utterly compelling in both live and recorded formats.
