Oil interview with Matthew Whitty

Conceived by British playwright Ella Hickson, Oil tells of a family’s journey through the ages as they explore how the crude, black liquid has affected the world. The play has recently made its way to Australia via local theatre company Red Stitch, and the team at Art Smitten were keen to learn more.

In this interview, co-hosts Christian and Michael are joined via telephone by actor Matthew Whitty, who is performing in Red Stitch’s production.

Oil will be appearing at the Cromwell Road Theatre until December 15th. For more information, head to the official Red Stitch website.

Segment originally aired Wednesday, November 20th. Produced by Tom Parry.
