Florence talked to filmmaker Charlie Hill-Smith and West Papuan musician Hein Arumisore about Strange Birds in Paradise, their documentary on the political turmoil in West Papua and how music has the power to change the world.
 
Strange Birds in Paradise commemorates the assassinated musician Arnold Ap, while revealing the oppression of West Papuans by the Indonesian military. 
 
The Strange Birds in Paradise soundtrack and DVD will be released at a special launch with live performances from West Papuan musicians at the Northcote Social Club on Sunday 14 August.
