The Discovery Canal

The Discovery Channel takes a new spin on nerdiness and geekdom at SYN. We follow all the new tech and scientific discoveries, investigate clinical studies, and inject it all with our potent humour.

Segments include:

• Discover-up: Talk about hoaxes, fake discoveries, and discuss how we would've done it to pull it off.
• Science Fiction: Each week we find and discuss studies, and then go out into the real world and see if they really do apply to us. We'd bring up the subject the week beforehand, and then tell the audience of our results the following week.This opens up discussions to the listener as well.
• Discovery of the week: This would be listener focussed - things that everyday people have discovered.
• The Detection Section: This is about new discoveries like the Styrofoam planet, and inventions like the butterstick, and about whether they are useless or helpful or neither.
• Guest Expert: Invite people in from different shows to talk about their news, or interview an outside expert about one of the topics covered in the show.
