Alcohol abuse can cost the Australian government up to 15 billion dollars a year and some places seem to have had enough. The Northern Territory are discussing plans to introduce mandatory alcohol rehabilitation. This would be for individuals who have been detained on multiple occasions by the police for being drunk in public. It’s not just those who like a drink in the park that the proposed bill is stirring up. Alexander Clemens reports.
