Second Day Suprises
Technically today is my third day… but for the purpose of the blog let’s just pretend it’s still my second.
So today was my second day at Work Expereince here at SYN(^^)
It started off much differently to my first. Instead of shakily making my way to the building, I was calm, but quite excited to discover what the day would have in store…
…that in fact, would be learning how to use Adobe Audition, preparing me for when I would edit the ‘Schools on Air’ podcasts.
After half an hour of watching a very thorough and informative video (thank you Harley Hefford) I was taken up stairs with 20 or so loud and excited school kids to listen in on their talk with Tim.
After listening to him very strongly point out that you ‘can’t swear, can’t promote crime, can’t be sexist, can’t target or bully someone, and you can’t influence violence when on the air’, I then followed the slightly disapointed, but still very excited teenagers to the recording studio. Here I got the chance to see the studio, and watch them find out for themselves how everything is really done.
I was then lucky enough to be entertained by all the different segments that the school kids had recorded (relationship advicelines and bannanas and the end of the world?)
On returning to the The House of SYN it was then time for the greatly anticipated job of editing the ‘Schools on Air’ podcasts. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to each of the different, and extremley random segments from many schools, as well as being able to put my Audition skills into action (thanks again Harley.)
I’m now at home, and at 12.29pm it is time for me to get off the computer and head on over to the House of SYN.
See you all soon, over and out.
