Bigger Than Hip Hop

“If you haven’t heard of this show, don’t sleep for much longer” – All Aussie Hip Hop Blog
There is so much good hip hop out there that BTHH decided never to limit their playlists to a time, place or style. Every Wednesday night they play tracks from all around the world (and locally, of course) whether it was released thirty years ago or last week.
The show sources a slightly different brand of Hip Hop than what most people would be used to and completely comfortable with. If the guys expose their listener to at least one group they might like then the mission is complete. Paul and Pete dig deep to bring you the freshest songs including the classics, rarities, remixes, exclusives, collaborations no matter where it was made.
Every week they run a competition to guess what song samples another, give away CDs on air, talk about a topic in hip hop and even discuss history of hip hop. And did we mention the music?
The guys are constantly on the look out for interviews. Past interviews include the likes of:

  •       Jeswon (Thundamentals)
  •       Solo (Horrorshow)
  •       Thes One (People Under The Stairs) – USA
  •       One Be Lo (Binary Star) – USA
  •       Debonair P & Gentleman G (Low Budget)
  •       Seth Sentry
  •       Suffa (Hilltop Hoods)
  •       Nick Lupi (Spit Syndicate)
  •       Swanny, K1 & DJ Aztek (Tenfold)
  •       Rich Kidd & Crook – CAN
  •       DJ Dexter (Avalanches / Grrilla Step)
  •       Ozi Balta (The Herd / Astronomy Class)

…It’s bigger than hip hop.
