After being at syn earlier in youth (2005-2009) which was such a valuable experience, I was always grateful for those years. In particular in my 6-7 years absent from Syn, the audio editing skills have been a major assistance as a musician (blues, folk, pop, RnB, country, world, other). The upcoming musical milestone is releasing a CD titled “Life , Love and Common Good” happened early July 2016.
As amazing as being at syn was, and still is, I was absent for many years, undertaking work in the industry I trained for (not media). I worked in health and gained a lot of awareness about my values, and how I wanted to lead my lifestlye. However, now in my final year of youth (turning 25 in July 2016) I want to make the most of being “youth” by doing a seasonal… collating a lot of my own resources via presenting this 14 week show!
Particularly the past couple years alongside interest in health and music, I’m also very passionate about meditation.
So I’ve come back to syn for a very special seasonal, this is a show about Meditation, discussing and presenting about; Meditation with from multiple perspectives such as ancient Pagan thought, eastern schools of thought such as Hindu and Buddhist, looking to modern Psychology, and simple western Mindfulness type flavours.
It’s very exciting preparing this show, 3pm Sundays on 90.7 for Term 3.
There are many great recordings that’d be relevant to play, great music, interesting segments on various moving meditations, as well as facilitating short still meditations….
Playlists will be uploaded on the syn website, along with a follow-up post after the show via facebook.com/sim.victor.music. A “what to expect on the show” will also be posted on that facebook before the weekly show outlining the segment topics…
…the date of uploading podcasts is unclear so tune in if interested!
