Snickers Ad Divides: Abusing, Amusing or Confusing?
Last week Snickers released a new ad filmed in Melbourne, featuring builders yelling “empowering statements” at passing women. The ad has provoked enormous debate, particularly on social media, with many differing opinions relating to humour, sexism and street harassment. Reporter Alice Walker speaks to feminists and marketing academics to dispel some of the confusion.
