Gandel Philanthropy have supported SYN’s relocation into the new SYN HQ, funding the purchase and fit out of our beautiful radio studios in the heart of the Melbourne CBD.
The Community Broadcasting Foundation
Over many years the Community Broadcasting Foundation has supported a range of programs at SYN, including Schools on Air and the SYN podcast incubator. They also support the transmission of our FM and Digital broadcast across Melbourne.
Victorian Office for Youth
The Victorian Office for Youth are a key partner in the delivery of SYN’s volunteering, training and professional development programs. Among many other things, SYN’s media industry mentoring program in indebted to the support of the Office for Youth.
Victorian Department of Education
With the support of the Department of Education, SYN delivers media education workshops to 5,000 Victorian students each year, giving Victorian students a unique opportunity to express themselves.
The Ian Potter Foundation
The Ian Potter Foundation support SYN’s leadership development program, giving a group of 40 young people each year the opportunity to practise leadership skills, and develop experience in leading a team. Working with the Ian Potter Foundation we are helping young people to develop valuable career skills.
The Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation
Multi-year support from the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation has enabled SYN to fit out our new HQ with editing and broadcast computers. With their support we are training young people to use industry standard media production equipment.
A key partner from SYN’s founding until today, RMIT make our work possible by providing us with a home. Our production facilities are located within RMIT’s media precinct at the Melbourne CBD campus.
The City of Melbourne
We are working with the city council to create a more inclusive Melbourne. With their support we are working hard to support Melbourne’s large population of international students, a key group of young people in Melbourne who deserve to have their voices heard.
Creative Victoria are funding the pilot year of SYN’s Podcast Incubator. A training and talent development program fostering excellence in podcast production. Find out more here.
