Swan Song

Should auld acquaintance be forgot, there’s always…
Something Completely Different! With our new years eve special, we successfully ended 2011 with a bang. Our finale featured talk of Tom’s trip to Queensland, For Better or Worse, another outrageous round of 50/50 and the deciding round of Hard Task Masters. Whichever way you look at it, our 36th instalment of Something Completely Different was very much an end-of-year extravaganza. If you happened to miss it, never fear: we’ve put the show online in its entirety. Consult the links below for your stream/download of our shenanigans. Also, visit our Facebook page and ‘like’ it, would you? ‘Sif you wouldn’t!
Though we’re normally opposed to the tacky Christmas carols used to cajole the public into retail-related madness, we thought we ought to get a little festive with this week’s playlist. Here’s a recap of the tunes we played throughout our Christmas eve special…
PLAYLIST: Season Three, Episode Twelve
Split Enz – History Never Repeats
Summer Camp – Better Off Without You
Arcade Fire – Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)
Cut Copy – Take Me Over
Whitest Boy Alive – Dead End
Penguin Prison – Don’t F**k With My Money
Kate Nash – Foundations
Oh Land – Perfection
Grease OST – We Go Together
Gasp: Something Completely Different may or may not return. Actually, as you read this, we’re busy plotting our next move. In the meantime, ‘like our Facebook page so you can receive any updates on the status of the show and what we’re up to in 2012. Also, we’re going to work on reuploading all of the past episodes for your listening pleasure. Soon, you’ll be able to visit the Something Completely Different page and relive all your favourite moments! From myself Nick Mason, Tony Besselink and Tom Needham, have a wonderful 2012 – we hope to have your company again sometime this year! Until then, peeps,
