SYN Approved presents Electric Sea Spider
Melbourne’s Electric Sea Spider is heading up the first gig in the 2011 ‘SYN Approved Series’ – an awesome SYN initiative – on April 7 at The Workers Club.
The instrumental hip-hop/beatmaker will be supported by Mikekay and Wooshie from Melbourne, and Onetalk, whose members are from both Canberra and Sydney.
Electric Sea Spider, aka James Sellars, is a 20-year-old electronic hip-hop producer who was making music for surfing shows before he was asked to make his debut performance supporting Flying Lotus and The Gaslamp Killer in January 2011.
His Mohican Beats EP was released through label Mine, All Mine! Records in October 2010, and his track ‘Young King Trash’ was featured on the Australian and New Zealand beatmaker compilation, Finest Ego, released on February 25th.
