SYN in Review – Week of July 6 2015

Hermitude have seen their album go to number one, a really cool film festival is about to start around the country and if you couldn’t make friends at school for liking the Beatles you’re probably a funny person.

WOAH! What is all that sound? If your browser supports autoplay, it might be a bit exited and is trying to play you all the things right now. Best fix? Just pause the bits you don’t want to listen to just yet.

Right off the back of seeing their album go to number one, Chris chats to Angus from Hermitude for their fell feel-pionions on the massive acheivement. (Hint, they are kinda stoked).

If you’re kind of tired of the Hollywood movie scene at the moment, you might like to try something a little bit different. The Scandinavian film festival is coming to Australia with subjects ranging from criminal activities and flat pack furniture to the tensions between Scandinavian countries due to economic hardship and the actions of these countries in World War II. As Art Smitten discovered, an in-depth knowledge of Scandinavian culture isn’t necessary to digust the complex themes that these films tackle.
