SYN is coming to digital radio

Nine Melbourne community radio stations (including SYN!) will make their digital radio debut on Thursday April 14. For the first time all nine stations will simultaneously broadcast side-by-side live from Federation Square to commemorate this historic occasion.

Come down to The Atrium at Fed Square from 11am-12pm on April 14 to celebrate the launch of digital radio with us or tune in to SYN on your digital radio or 90.7 FM.

These nine stations will be the first community radio stations in Australia to make the leap to digital, with community broadcasters from other capital cities to launch their digital radio services in coming months.

The nine stations are:
SYN – (that’s us) a youth-run media organisation broadcasting radio and TV
3KND – Melbourne’s indigenous owned and managed station
3MBS – playing classical and fine music
PBS – home of little heard music
3CR – providing a voice for underrepresented communities
Triple R – supporting Melbourne culture, arts and music
3ZZZ – the largest ethnic community station in Australia
89.9 LightFm – Christian community radio
Vision Australia Radio – radio for the vision impaired
