Greenlight: Environmental Education: Part 2

Sustainability Vic. joins our discussion on environmental education

Environmental issues are moving closer to the forefront of our education system - How effective are the initiatives? What about education we get from media?

Why do government initiatives educate young people on environmental issues when there has been little movement in Federal Parliament?

Why does industry-bodies like Alcoa Coalmines fund projects in schools?

Do we need to go beyond projects like tree-planting and recycling and work towards changing a whole generational mindset and consumer patterns of our youth?

Julie Harries from Sustainability Victoria joined Greenlight on our discussion.
