Hug Therapist is an unsigned 4 piece punk act, based in Melbourne. Starting off as a group of mates in a garage, the Hug Therapist boys decided to record a demo and are now playing gigs wherever and with whoever, at anytime possible. With hard punk influences such as The Amity Affliction, At The Drive-In and Deftones, its hard not to notice these guys. Hug Therapist’s key track “Don’t Touch My Stuff” is a favourite amongst fans, and they have already played The Espy and The Arthouse in Melbourne.
Exciting and young, Raise The Stakes blast out loud and fun pop-punk in the vein of Fall Out Boy and Set Your Goals, with elements of pop-hardcore in the spirit of Four Year Strong and Rise Against. Hitting the stage for the first time in 2010, RAISE THE STAKES have already racked up some impressive shows, including support slots with The Flatliners (Canada), Ben Jorgensen (USA) and The Mission In Motion (Aus), and this year were crowned winners of the Soundwave Festival sunken treasure band competition!
