The Studio Watermelon Fridge – SYN Work Experience Blog
Another day at the very enjoyable house of SYN. Yay! So after getting there we were all sent to the back room and briefed on what we were going to do today. We all started off by typing up and deciphering the post-it notes from the leadership camp. They were arranged in different subjects (Radio, TV & Screen, Online etc.) and we had to write in point form all the info on the sheets. There were some very funny ideas like the underwater broadcasting station or ‘SYNning pool’, a Studio Ball pit and of course, this posts namesake, the studio watermelon fridge.
We did that untill 2pm when Kristina told us we were going to the studio to observe Schools on Air. It was a fun experience and the guys from Swinburne who were on air were really funny. We left for our lunch break after that in which we hung out in the RMIT cafe and helped Ashira put up posters for the Battle of the Bands. It got extremely cold and windy at that point, so we were very happy to get back to the house where it was nice and warm..
For the rest of the day we did mainly admin work. I filed memberships forms into different folders and got them all done and then continued with putting memberships into the database which I also finished. Today was a good day, but I still think Tuesday has been the best so far 🙂
