Udays Tiger: June SYN Approved Artist

Melbourne noise rock duo, Udays Tiger, have been announced as the SYN Approved artist for June, and we couldn’t be happier to have them kicking off the SYN Approved series for 2013 with the launch of their second EP, Dead Attention.Just like their first release, Sinners, in 2011, the QLD ex pats returned to Brisbane with the reputable Neil Coombe (DZ Deathrays, Robert Forster, The Grates) at the wheel once more. This time, they spent a week up on Mt Nebo, just outside Brisbane in the rainforest-based White Room Studio. The extra time taken with this record was made possible with a welcome boost from a successful crowd-funding campaign. Living and breathing the record from Monday to Friday, they knocked out seven tracks that stand as a solid document from a developing band. This is a record that isn’t afraid to be whatever it wants to be. It’s a rock record, but it’s dynamically and structurally fresh, with pop conventions buried at its core. Dead Attention will come out through Thornbury Records. With a killer support from Damn Terran, Kids of Zoo and Darts, it’s the perfect chance to see the guys off before they start on their Australian tour.DetailsEvent – SYN Approved Presents Udays TigerDate – Friday, June 14th    Venue – The Old BarAddress – 74 Johnston St, FitzroyArtist – Udays TigerEntry – $10What is SYN Approved? The SYN Approved Series is a monthly initiative that highlights new and upcoming Australian artists.
