What is the future of the Australian Film Industry?

The Australian film industry has been booming this year with box-office hits like Mad Max: Fury Road and Paper Planes gracing our cinemas. Today’s release of the all-Australian film, The Dressmaker, is also expected to garner major critical and international attention. 

So why are Australian films so important? And will this current prosperity continue?

Reporter Tara Cosoleto spoke to Sue Maslin, Producer of The Dressmaker, to find out what the Australian film industry has in store for the future.
